Device Tracking
Monitor and track device presence over time
Device Tracking
PwnPower tracks every device it sees, building a database of presence patterns and behaviors.
Device List
The device list shows all tracked devices with key information:
- MAC Address - Unique identifier (with vendor lookup)
- Trust Score - Automatically calculated reputation
- Status - Present/Away based on last 5 minutes
- Sightings - Total number of times seen
- Last Seen - When the device was last detected
Device Actions
Click any device to access these options:
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Mark as Home | Flag as a home device for presence alerts |
| Track | Enable tracking to prevent eviction and get alerts |
| View Details | See full history including associated APs |
Automatic Tracking
Devices with trust scores above 50 are automatically tracked. This means:
- They won’t be evicted when the 64-device limit is reached
- They’re eligible for webhook alerts
- Their full history is preserved
Device Details
Expanding a device shows:
- Vendor name (from OUI lookup)
- First seen timestamp
- Total sighting count
- Days tracked
- Last associated AP/SSID
- 24-hour presence heatmap
- List of all APs this device has connected to
Smart Eviction
When the 64-device database limit is reached, PwnPower evicts the lowest-priority device. Priority is calculated from:
- Recency of last sighting
- Total sighting count
- Home device status (protected)
- Tracked status (never evicted)
Tip: Mark important devices as “tracked” to ensure they’re never automatically removed.
