Capture BLE advertising packets to a PCAP you can open in Wireshark.

BLE Packet Capture

Capture nearby Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) advertising events to a .pcap for analysis in Wireshark.

Usage

  • WebUI → Wireless Recon → BLE → Packet Capture.
  • Tap “Start BLE Packet Capture” to begin; “Stop” to finish.

Files

  • Saved under captures/ on the SD card: captures/ble1.pcap, ble2.pcap, …
  • Download from WebUI → File Manager.

Wireshark

  • Link‑layer: Bluetooth HCI H4 with pseudo‑header (DLT 201).
  • LE Advertising Reports decode under Bluetooth LE profiles; direction shows as “Rcvd” (controller → host).

Notes

  • Requires a microSD card. Only one side mounts the SD at a time; the device handles this automatically.
  • If a Wi‑Fi scan/capture/attack is active, BLE capture may be blocked—stop the other task first.
  • If the file is empty/small, ensure nearby BLE devices are advertising; move closer and try again.
